SEXUALITY! Such a taboo topic; avoided at dinner parties… awkward between parents and children … forbidden in conversations at church. But this very topic, which is so rarely discussed openly, is the same the topic that is so frequently on the minds of teenagers as well as adults?  So what then? Do we continue to avoid it, suffer from a lack of knowledge and hope for the best? Or, do we embrace it and talk about it so that we can learn from it?  You be the judge, but if you are reading this letter, I trust that you are after knowledge, so rest assured help is available. You can shed light on the matter of sexuality education through the services provided by “Xposure, Inc.”

 

Xposure is a provider of sexuality education, training and consulting services, created in October 2007 out of a sincere desire to promote healthy relationships and confident sexuality. The company conducts workshops, facilitates training programs and offers insight for the design of successful sexuality courses. Xposure workshops and training sessions are conveniently delivered at various locations that the client designates and can range from a lunch and learn to multi day retreats.

 

As the owner, I make myself available to clients for one-on-one consultations and I always welcome the opportunity to share accurate information that will enlighten and expand the perception of healthy sexuality to the masses.   I have facilitated sessions on a variety of topics including Healthy Relationships, Human Sexuality, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and more.

Christina Bolden is the Visionary and Founder of Xposure. She has worked in the sexual health education field for 16 years. She began with a position as an Adolescent Health Educator for Ingham County Health Department, where she provided sexual health and STD prevention training for hundreds of high school students in Michigan.  In 2002, Christina moved to Chicago, IL to become a Health Educator for Aunt Martha’s Youth Service, a non-profit community health organization.  Christina returned to Michigan in 2004 and worked as a Prevention Specialist and transitioned into a consultant role with the State of Michigan as a Lead HIV Trainer where she facilitated certification training courses for health professionals.  Currently she is an adjunct instructor with Baker College,Teaching Associate with University of Michigan Medical School, Teaching Associate with Eastern Michigan University Nursing Program and Pharmaceutical Sales. Christina has been a panelist and presenter/lecturer at several special events and conferences including:

Christina has a B.A. in Communications, a Masters in Social Work, both from Michigan State University, and a certificate in Sex Therapy and Sexual Health Education from University of Michigan.  Her interests include traveling, dancing, running, and bettering communities. She is passionate about helping to enrich and expand personal thinking around healthy sexuality. From that passion, Christina aspires to promote healthy relationships and equip those to maintain them.
